About Me

When you compete with yourself, your only limit is you.

Hi !

I'm a 19 year old inquisitive Indian kid. I'm fascinated by technology and am always willing to know what drives it. We are currently witnessing the Renaissance of technology and I am super pumped to know about it as much as I can.

Childhood

I had a pretty amazing childhood growing up in Mumbai, India. Fortunately, the smartphone era had not taken over so I spent most evenings playing for hours together, with my friends. I spent my vacations either travelling all over India or exploring different sports or sci-tech classes.

Growing up and Engineering

As I grew up, I became more and more investigative about a medley of topics such as technology, history, religion and philosophy. I was battered by several fundamental questions such as - Why do we do this ? How does this work ? Can we make it better ? How can we make it better ?

Thus, engineering came naturally to me. Not the theoretical parts as much as the practical application. The art of creating things. Fixing things. Making them better.
Some of my fondest memories include hours spent fixing a broken printer, helping a carpenter build furniture, passing tools while an electrician repaired the air conditioner, watching the cycle shop employee repair my cycle.

The need for answers to my questions and fixes to my problems propelled me towards engineering. It's an amazing feeling of learning how the world works, trying new things and relentlessly trying to make something work.

I started my programming journey when I wasn't even old enough to understand what it was. For me, the spark began with game development in Java. It was just a bunch of words that when typed together, gave back a pretty cool game. I was fascinated by this world since then.

That was 7 years ago. Today, I still view programming with freshness, as this awesome tool that empowers you to create beautiful things and help society. Currently, I'm a full-stack developer with specializations in the MERN Stack and JAMstack. I also have a fundamental understanding of core concepts in software engineering such as Data Structures, Algorithms, Complexity Theory, Systems Designing, Container Orchestration, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Version Control, DevOps and Design Patterns. I am a certified Cloud Engineer from Azure (AZ900), AWS (CLF-CO1) and Google Cloud Platform (ACE).
Side by side, I am pursuing my love for problem solving and mathematics through competitive programming, primarily in C++. In my free time, I like to contribute to open source projects and teach high school Maths and Physics to underprivileged children

Last I checked,

I'm a 2nd year undergraduate pursuing a BTech Degree in Civil Engineering. I explore vehicle modelling and programming for fun. That's about it, till the next update !
